I’m Tyler Moffatt, founder of Tampa Bay Bookkeeping. As a business owner myself, I understand firsthand how quickly the financial side of running a company can become overwhelming. Between customers, employees, expenses, vendors, payroll, and everything else demanding your attention, keeping accurate books can easily fall to the bottom of the list.

That experience is a big part of why I started Tampa Bay Bookkeeping. My goal is simple: take the bookkeeping burden off business owners and give them numbers they can actually understand and use. I believe bookkeeping should be more than categorizing transactions and reconciling accounts. It should help you understand where your money is going, what your business is making, and where opportunities exist to improve.

I especially enjoy working with contractors, trades, service companies, and other owner-operated businesses because I understand the realities behind the numbers. Materials, labor, subcontractors, equipment, vehicles, job costs, overhead, and cash flow all affect whether a busy company is actually a profitable one. I bring that business-owner perspective to every client relationship.

Outside of work, I’m a family man at heart. Some of my favorite time is spent boating with my family, traveling, exploring new places, and simply getting away from the day-to-day grind. Those experiences are also a reminder of why we build businesses in the first place. Not just to stay busy, but to create something successful that gives us more freedom and time for the people and experiences that matter.
